Task of 'Sense of an Ending' by 'Julian Barnes'

Honorable sir,

Here I’m presenting my views on the novel the’ Sense of an Ending’ which is written by the great writer and translator ‘Julian Barnes’ who won Man Booker Prize for his literature in 2011.He translated his works more than 30 languages.

The style of the writer is ‘Memory Novel ‘or ‘Suspense Thriller’ or ‘Psychological Thriller’ This novel is mainly centered on the characteristics of 21^st century writing. Here, writer take some distance than the writer’ Dan Brown’ of ‘Da Vinci Code’. Dan Brown’s journey is outer journey .while, ’Julian Barnes’ take more step ahead on this journey. As a’ journey within self’. Here, Julian Barnes opens one more layer of the life of human-being.

May be reply  of Veronica ’s  phrase ‘Blood Money’  suggests  her(veronica) mother given 500 pounds to Tony .And, she was given that money in replace of Veronica ‘s heresy on Tony. And, another possibility of this phrase means that without doing the work he got money from his  mother-in-law given him money without doing any work. So, that’s another possibility of the phrase used by Veronica in her mail. And, this dialogue from d text is also near to this truth.

‘Blood money?’

I looked at the words and couldn’t make sense of them. She’d

erased my message and its heading, not signed her reply, and just

answered with a phrase. I had to call up my sent email and read it

through again to work out that grammatically her two words could

only be a reply to my asking why her mother had left me five

hundred pounds. But it didn’t make any sense beyond this. No

blood had been spilt. My pride had been hurt, that was true. But

Veronica was hardly suggesting that her mother was offering

money in exchange for the pain her daughter had caused me, was

she? Or was she?

Here, writer also play one puzzle with d reader by putting out this sum: b=s-v x/+a1 or a2+v+a1 X s=b?.

B=baby(Adrian)

S=Sarah

A=Adrian(Father)

V=veronica

Here, Adrian’s equation suggests his relation with Sarah  mother of Veronica .And, the child grown under them. And, may be that  baby is Adrian(second) abnormal.Tony’s latter here becomes tragedy or curse for d baby of Sarah Ford and Adrian.And,Tony& Adrian both of regrets here. Tony regrets for his letter and Adrian regrets for his relation with d woman whose age is double than her. And. Though he can’t able to reach at the real truth. And, this thing writer makes puzzle for the readers.

Actually, Adrian’s diary is willed to Tony  by Sarah Ford. But, Sarah Ford owned it as Adrian had d relation with Sarah .And, that  diary also possessed by Veronica. Because the  second  abusing word for d Veronica .so, Tony knows very well that, that  diary might read by Veronica. and, in this way she becomes possessor of d diary.

It’s also according to the law of possibility as I before say Adrian had relation with Sarah Ford the woman whose quite double aged. And, with  whom ‘Adrian’ had ‘sexual relation’. May be that regret of Adrian made him poor or weak like dead not a physical one but mental  or psychological death. That also comes in ‘The Swamp Dwellers’ by wole Soyinka. So, it’s possible that Adrian is alive but just because of mental trauma he becomes  ‘Abnormal’ just like his child. And, his that guilty lead him towards ‘Suicide’ either Inner or outer.

Veronica has  also some  relation with Adrian as a boy-girl friend. And, her mother had also illegimate relation with  Adrian. so that thing becomes cause of suffering in d community for d Veronica. so, she has to suffer in d community .

Yes, of course the secrets of diary some page missing just like in proof of Jesus Christ ’s video which was shown by u. In d same way here some pages as a dots which is missing from d diary. May be, that thing is ambiguous for d readers.

Whatever the words given to  manipulative , calculative, stubborn, sacrificial, trustworthy and good samarthian used for her. But, behind any element is responsible for it than it’s  ‘Pshychology’ that I think.

‘Unreliable Narrator’ in simple words  narrator whose not reliable. This term first of all coined by ‘Wayne C. Book’ in his work ‘Rhetoric of Fiction’. Here, narrator considerable as a  remain as a ‘Unreliable’ just because of  memory or  nostalgia. Here, Tony Webster also remain as unreliable.

That’s all some my views about  the novel  ‘sense of an Ending’ .Where, the ‘Sense ’or ‘breath’ ends.

'Experience of to donate blood first time'

Hi Friends!

Here, I’m sharing my experience of ‘BLOD DONATION CAMP’ and to become part this ‘Blood

Donation’ activity first time.

 Which was organized by ‘SIR.T.HOSPITAL’ at Valiya College Bhavnagar on d 2/01/2014.Especially for d University Students. And, It’s my Pleasure that I can be also able to become part of that camp. And, specially thanks to our teacher Barad sir! Who informed about this activity in advance ,so that I can be also able to become part of that camp.

Many times before I also wish to donate blood. Sometimes Just because of  my low weight or sometimes because of my low I cannot be reliable for to donate blood. But, Thank God !in that time neither my Weight nor my H.B not become hurdle for me. And, I could be successfully able to give my blood.

Now ,First of all I want say one thing that why should after so many days I’m  think to share my experience that’s core point of my sharing d views and not to praise myself.

Actually, I’m  living in a hostel d sake of study for  And, one thing I want to honestly say that I’ve been not  informed  my mom in advance .Because I know that if I been informed her in advance then she can’t let me allowed me to did that thing. Because in her mind also one fear that normally  remains ind minds of most of all mothers that u have not your self then how could u donate? And, as I ‘ve again mentioned I’m so careless about  thing food. And, living In a hostel  this thing  more fearable for my mom. So that I have not informed her earlier though I know that she will scold me. And, she after when I’ve informed that  thing in that time she did d same thing .But, I’ve not say anything because I’m in d fault. She told me that  why r u did that? And, I  have asked  her one question that mom! instead of those person who have really needs d blood instead of I’m there. Then what u wish can anyone donate blood for me or not? And, she becomes speechless. And, I also told many children person who falls in dieses like cancer, thalesamia and many more they require can’t we think about them. And, she answered me that I’m not against this. But, after did that now u becomes weak and this and that. But, I’ve told that nothing will happen mom.

Then, after  a week  my one  relative urgently needs blood for her operation .so, in that time the certificate given by the organization of ‘SIR .T.HOSPITAL’, that certificate I  have given and in replace of they given one bottle blood to me. And, so that I can be able to fulfill need of my relative. But, perhaps that thing not in my mind that after, some day that blood certificate becomes helpful to fulfill need of my relative.I have not thought before, but, now u can. May be your blood becomes need of someone or your relative also.

And, I’m  intensely sharing my view after many days because so that I myself can able to give u information that after giving blood nothing will happened to me .Today is 13/02/2014.More then one month. I’ve not felt weakness or any prejudices many times  normally remains in d  minds of people that anything not happened with me. That’s why I’ve intensely sharing my views about donate blood after many days later on.

And, now my mom also don’t denying to me for that work. So, I have decided that I’ll continuing this work till I’m remain reliable to do this work. And, I suggest u also to all readers of my blog. Please donate blood if u r reliable for that.

'Da Vinci Code' task

Below I’m sending  my views about Movie ‘The Da’ Vinci Code’ Columbia pictures(2006), directed by Ron Howard from a script by Aiva Goldsman (based on the novel by Dan Brown)): Producers Brian Grazer and John Calley Cinemetography by Salvatore Totino:

1    Pre-viewing Tasks:

‘Suspense thriller’ means Suspense of the writing  arouse thriller in the minds of readers that what happens now? that type of Curiosity comes in d minds of readers to know the ‘Suspense’   that’s called ‘Suspense thriller’.’Conspiracy theory’S work to  find out a  secret plan by a group to do something unlawful. And, that type of study apply in d fiction that’s called ‘Conspiracy Fiction’

In d history of Christianity ‘Mary Magdalene’s role is so much important. Mary Magdalene was one of the most important. Early Christian leaders.  And, The same thing brings out ‘Dan Brown’ in this novel. After d death of pope ‘John Paul-2’ Magdalene remain for  quarter century as a leader that’s main role of Mary Magdalene  in d history of Christianity.

After Mary Magdalene leadership comes in d hands of Male. So, they thought that if woman becomes that much powerful than it will becomes threat for us. So, that then  they made plan against female as in Christianity ban the female .And,it’s quite linked with d ‘Bible’ and the chapter ‘The Paradise Lost’.In which what male church councillor wrote, all against woman. And, woman ‘s role put in a lower place or put woman r always responsible for d fall of man. That idea clearly comes in the ‘Paradise Lost’ also. Because it’s written by d hands of councillor of church. And, who r they ? Male  not any female councilor. In that way church demonized ‘sacred Feminine’ and called unclean. And, It’s not surprising thing that type of role not comes in only Christianity. But, that type of role played most of religion towards woman’s demonization. In Hindu philosophy ‘Manu Smritihi’  also presents the same things or demonized the place of woman. And it was ‘man’ and not ‘God’ who wrote all those things. In  the ‘Bible’ comes all those things. But, after all councillor of the Christianity whom Christians believe as messenger of d ‘God’. But, actually not d ‘God’ but ‘man’ who  created  the concept of ‘original sin’, as a colonizer on d colonized. so that  as I before say Eve tasted the apple and caused the downfall of the human race .Women, once the sacred giver of life then turned in to enemy.Just because of  not d will of ‘God’ but ‘man’.

And, constantaine the first pagan follower, who believe that human to treat as a human and to let them live in peace. And, in ancient religion also some people prayed ‘Goddess’ as a woman but that concept also demonized by d  male church councilor. After creating the chapter of ’Genesis’  male of church put out ‘male’ in d center then automatically woman becomes ‘periphery. Because in this chapter ‘Bible’ shows that instead of woman, creates concept ‘male’ who gives live to the life not ‘woman’. And, From the here comes Derrida’s concept of ‘Deconstruction’ or binary opposition started right from d here.

In d ‘Genesis’ of’ bible’ and in ‘The paradise Lost ’  shows that male who creates woman from their ‘womb’ and in that way ‘He’ becomes life giver  instead of ‘SHE’. It’s naked truth woman ,who gives birth to baby. But, After creating that kind of concept Christianity just wears’ the spectacle .But, They never try to see that ‘spectacle’ is not the real eyes .But, truth is so bitter so happy in to wearing in spectacle.

2.While –viewing Task:

In the beginning  of the novel  in his acknowledgement he has been respect or importance to ’woman’. First his mother connie Brown and second his wife Blythe. So, from d very beginning we can say that ‘Dan Brown’ is much in favour of ‘woman’. The text starts with some facts of ‘priory of sion ‘and ‘opus Dei’. While, movie directly starts with d scene of Loure Museum, paris. 10:p.m. writer also so much punctual about time also .so, he defines time also. Then comes scene of Jacques sauniere  who want to commit suicide or gives pain to himself that narration not that much thrilling in the text. But,it’s so much terrified in d movie. That’s  first thrilling effects in d movie. And,in d beginning high narrative becomes powerful. Because of the myth of Mary Magdalene. But, if  can see from d perspective of ‘Feminism’ then it’s falls in d category of ‘low’ narrative.

In d movie Christianity challenged by the roots of d myth of Mary Magdalene  and who wrote d ‘Bible’ councilor of d church. In that way  writer and director both challenged the Christianity. And,here the name of Mary Magdalene becomes controversy .Because, the name of Mary Magdalene known as’joan’ that’s the first controversy, while the second thing is that many some dialogues makes us suspicious to see Mary Magdalene either only their disciple or wife also or Jesus christ’s some physical relation with Mary Magdalene also. And, some  symbologists like Teabing Leigh and Robert Langdon read Da vinci’s painting  from d another perspective. If to put Mary Magdalene’s picture opposite of the Jesus Christ. then it’s  near to Jesus Christ and, Jesus who loves his/he disciple that image very much near to the image of Mary Magdalene.

In this novel  by ‘Dan Brown’ ‘Holy Grail’ symbolism of pot in which Jesus Christ taken his last wine or food. While, it’s here re-interpreted as a ‘Female sacredness’.

Symbology : This theory studying the symbols.

Sarcophagus: Means  Grave of  the Mary Magdalene. Where, after d death of Mary her pious body preserved .that place known as ’Sarcophagus’.

Merovingian Dynasty: king ruled over France in .’Luere’. Those document would be preserved  beneath d rose line.Everything taken from the Jerusalem  and  preserved in France museum .This people’s  blood –line of  Jesus Christ  or child of Mary Magdalene this line  known as ‘Merovingian Dynasty’.

Opus Dei: It means religious organization controversy related to fundamentalism  function is doubtful. ’Dan Brown ‘  doubt on that. People related to conspiracy  that belonged to that group ’opus Dei’And,opus Dei’ group they believe that they r doing d works of God.

Priory: It means a small monastery or nunnery that is governed by a prior or prioress.from:

3.Post-viewing Task:

By and large ,’Dan Brown’ mean to say that  I’m not favor neither ‘Female’ nor ‘Male’ but may be just he want to give equal importance to both sides. And, may be his aim  to increase idea of Yin(female) and yang(male) Chinese idea &   ‘Ardhnareshvar ’in Hindu philosophy comes as a shiv & parvti.that thing also well presented by writer ‘Gunvant shah’ in his column ’vicharona vrindavanma’ who’s current writer also presents he same idea. That man & woman are supplement of each other not d  opposition of each other but supplement of  each other. May be that thing ‘Dan Brown’ want to convey this message through this novel on which Christianity still not given the attention.

Yes, of course many some things to whom screen writer Akiva Goldsman can’t be able to give justice that perhaps given by critics like Norris j Lacy through some myths like-sacred Feminine, Mary Magdalene’s marriage, the priory of sion, and Leonardo’s art etc..

               Above some dialogues are so much important to understand some points like       

        bloodline of Jesus christ’,Christ’s Marriage with Mary Magdalene, The sacred  Feminine    etc. And, ’Last Supper’ the picture tempera on d stone.Magdalene was depicted as a supreme after Jesus Christ.In this picture there r Jesus with twelve other  person beside him.that leaves us wondering who was absent that day.The answer is surely ‘no one’:John was traditionally depicted as a young person.And whereas Brown sees him/her with breasts.But.it’s sodifficult for us  to define if it is he or she.But,Many some proof depicted this absent person is Mary Magdalene herself as a best and loving followers of him.In a way art of Leonardo’s view presented by critic Norris .j. Lacy  really creates ambiguity in d minds of readers. Above some view points.

I have been studied ‘paradise Lost’ and ‘Da Vinci Code’. But, in compare to both narrative I found second narrative very much loyal and truth in compare to first. What young mind want to see  it.The same  thing depicted by ‘Dan Brown’ in ‘Da Vinci Code’. In contemporary generation the ‘gap’ between ‘man’ and ‘woman’ becomes controversy.  In which ‘Dan Brown ’brings out concept of equality through the depiction of  ‘yin-yang’ equality.

I think from the three of text ‘Paradise lost,book-9’  has been done harm to humanity because in this book comes reference of  ‘Eve’ depicted as a responsible for d fall of man. That creates negative or pessimist image in d minds of Christian male dominance. And, in this book ‘man’  presented as a life give rand not d woman who gives live to d life. From d rib or womb of ‘Adam’ creates ‘female’. That thing wrong depicted in d ‘bible ’While, ’bible’ of Milton which roots in original ‘bible’ and that’s written by d hands of male  councillor of church. So, in this book some possibility creates some  biases against woman. Because of after Jesus, Mary Magdalene becomes d leader of the Christianity .so, it’s possible that in that time some male or priests has to fear to loose out their place from d society. May be it’s conspiracy of males’ of that  time. And,in ’Da  Vinci Code’ some dialogues proves Jesus Christ ’s physical relation hurts christion male dominance.And, may be ,it’s increased more ‘gap’between ‘male’ and ‘female’ gender.so,somehow this narrative is also bit harmful to humanity.

Yes, of course.I have also some question regarding ‘Jainism’.In this religion I also found some gender discrimination.And,one question still remains in my mind that why in ‘Jainism’ all some 24 ‘Jineshwaras’ or ‘Tirthankaras’ were male.And,why not any single ‘Tirthnkara' as a goddess.There also I found ‘Gender Discrimination’.That thing I found some hoe faults in it.May be here also happened d same thing like Christianity,that most probably religious books written by d hands of male.so,in which it’s consciously or unconsciously it remains gap in to put one as in  power position and another not.

So, Above all some view points from d my sides. I’ve tried my best to give answer to all questions  in which near I come across.

Question's of 'Mass-media'

Q.1 - Do broadcasters owe it to their profession to ‘give the news as it happens’ without being concerned about the consequences to the community?

 Ans-Yes, it is. Broadcasters has to owe to the their profession. Because only through the medium of various media, people can able get the news about what is happening around and surround the society. But, if  broadcasters are  not remain loyal to their profession, than many some possibilities to society go on the wrong path or they remain away from the real happening or maybe it’s also possible that society give their wrong judgment about particular thing. Just because of disloyalty of broadcasters.

So, in a way for the broadcasters it’s very much necessarily owe to their profession. And, to ‘give the news as it happens so that society can be judge particular thing in a right way. Nor, some many some possibilities to society’s attention diverts through the error of broadcasters’.  

Q-2.Does the media make or mar the society?

       “Each and every coin has two sides”.

Nothing has only particular one side either good or bad. Everything has two sides, it’s that may be second angle through we can be able to reach or not that is one another thing. But, if we can’ able to find another side of the thing, it means not that thing has no another side. similar way media   has also two sides. so, let see those both of influence of media on the society.

First of all let see that in which way media make the society. so, Many different way media make the society. For example after reaching real happening or news to society. After helping in a natural calamities. For  example when tsunami or flood comes out on kedarnath or badrinath places in that time media really  played such a very praiseworthy role. In that time they started one show or helping line on that some people’s that whom family member becomes victim of that flood for that people some channel started mission to search people like that TV9 started helping mission

               ‘Gotshu Gujaratione.’

In that time media become for them blessing or bridge to make contact with their family member.

So, it’s example proves that media can also make the society after doing that kind of noble works.

While, on the other side black-side of the media also and we can’t avoid that black-side  in to judge this question. Sometimes it’s also happens that just because of media. Society’s attention can be diverted towards in a wrong path. Even small mistake of media also carry out people to take wrong decision towards particular thing.

Sometimes it’s also happens that without going in to deep people make decision towards particular things. In case if people may get the wrong message from the media than the thing also not able to get the justice from the society. For example

During the time of  ‘Delhi Gang rape case’ media started spreading the message that just because of mistake of girl she become victim of the rape. And, for that in interview on media some people given some reviews that why she comes out from the home after 9:pm.It’s her mistake and just because of her that mistake all things happened. In that case media provides wrong message to society that after the time of evening don’t allow your daughter to go out  from the home. And, that message spread rumor or scarce or fear in   the minds of society or parents, to give permit to  their daughter to go out from the home alone after the time of evening.

In away media also ’mar’ the society after spreading that type of wrong messages.

So, in a way i conclude this answer from the both of possibilities media ‘make’ or ‘mar’ the society it’s depends on the carefulness or carelessness of the media.

Q-3.Advertiments are  involved in the social production of consumer. Explain it.

Yes ,it is. Advertisements are involved in the social production of the consumer. In the time of production company or organization must be become careful about the need of the most part of society. And, It’s depends on  what type  of the necessities and capacity of the masses. That’s main thing on which producer must be care on these things.

Second, things are  ‘Quality’ and ‘Quantity’. What type of quality and quantity appeals to the masses. That’s the one more important thing in to increase marketing and tempt to consumer.

Than, the third thing is Advertisement has to faithful about products.

So, there are  some virtues for the ideal  consumerism.

And,another aim is to  teach how  to increase  business strategies.,to increase marketing and to increase profit.But, with some kind of  'Corporate Social Responsibilities' .That's main things about 'CSR'.

‘Surrogate’ Advertisements’ prime aim is, don’t show to main advertisement directly. But, Advertisement behind one another  Advertisement. And, That Advertisement is the main soul of the Advertisement. But, just because of publicly bend or it is not legally permitted to Advertisers to present before the audience. So, that type Advertisers make mask to one another Advertisement, they can be able to show. so, They show indirectly the real picture what they want to show.

In a way, we exactly define this Advertisement means, one Advertisement who shows Advertisement behalf of another, that’s called ‘Surrogate’ Advertisements.

E. g. It's not cricket ,royal stage

v  ‘Mobile’- Advertisements & ‘Online’-Advertisements

       ‘Mobile’ Advertisements are most probably most based n form of print. Means,  Mobile Advertisements we can able to see. But, Before paying the RS. We can’t able to see the Advertisements .And, in compare of  online Advertisements  it is no more attractive or temptative like online Advertisements. And, it’s that they have weapon of words but it’s no more attractive image shower like online Advertisements.

While, ‘online’ Advertisements are more attractive than the ‘mobile’ Advertisements ‘In ‘online’ Advertisements, Advertisers are bit smarter than d ‘Mobile’ advertisements. Because, in ‘Online’ Advertisements Advertisers’ can easily putting out  especially in which place where they can guess it that in that place, which type of audience they can able to get. While, in ‘online’ Advertisement they can be also get advantage of tempting images ,offers, perhaps that be not possible in d ‘Mobile’ Advertisements’

So, I believe that in compare of ‘Mobile’ Advertisements .’Online’ Advertisements’ are more  smarter and temptative.

8  Favorite T.V commercial.

My Favorite   T. v  commercial Advertisement is ‘Knower sweet- corn soup’ this Advertisement really appeals’ to me. Because in this Advertisement I found some new change in d thing of Advertisement .Till that time woman in commercial Advertisement most probably in d house-hold work. But, in this Advertisement I found that , that idea or image of woman I found distorted here. Because, in this Advertisement I found that not a women who cooking ‘Sweet corns’ and  her husband or child was eaten that sweet corn soup. But, instead of here one husband or father cook’s in kitchen and her wife and children  eaten that corns’. So, here  I found that may be T. v Advertisement  maker also started to put image of general image of women who is always doing the works of house-hold instead of  here I found that, women ‘s presentation is mainly as a man. This changing phenomenon I liked most in this  Advertisement.

And, of course target audience of this Advertisement is children or woman who want to see herself in the position of her husband. And, child  who are crazy to it that type of delicious soup which generally shows in Advertisement.

Yes, of course  it’s really appeals to their target audience as I  have been  say  before, woman or child. Because, normally woman or child are watcher of this kind of  T .v Advertisement and also get time to see it.

And, as I again mentioned it’s very distorted image of women .Which ,we have habituated to see  traditional image of d women .so, here the  image of women is quite different than  d normal image of women.
so,above all some my views regarding to   commercial Advertisements.

        * Distinguish between ‘Classified’ Advertisements and ‘display’ Advertisements

Classified   Advertisements’ normally appeals to the main or central matter or cause. And, to the point .In this  type of Advertisement we can not  found some elements of emotionality and sensitivity. And, we can say this type of Advertise shows only reality .

E.g  Matrimonial Advertisements

        Employment notice

       Death-notice

      Birth- notice etc…
